He was very friendly, but shy when I got him and he has done well with meeting all my friends and their dogs. He has gradually become more at home here and of course increased his basic demands. He loves car rides and would like to go everywhere with me.

As my friend's Father says "a dog is patient and will work with you no matter how dumb you are" and so it is with Baxtor.

It took me some time after losing my first basset, Fred, before I felt I was ready for another. I was afraid I would be trying to "replace" Fred, but now realize that Baxtor has his own personality and I love him for who he is.
I believe that Bassets and those who love them are special beings!
