Anyway, on to my question...I was reading a message board the other day where someone was looking for a dog. Someone recommended a Basset to them and then someone else said that Bassets smell. A regular to the boards (who is a vet) said that Bassets do tend to have an odor if not cared for properly. McGee has an unbearable odor somedays that is just awful. He is bathed regularly and is kept brushed/clean. Is there something else I should be doing as a (part) Basset owner to keep him odor free? Our vet has never discussed anything with us.
