We also have a tri-colored 11 year old female, Sophie and a 9 year old beagle (Halley). I've been doing some surfing about the blues and found an article that disturbed me. They indicated that blues were VERY undesirable in the basset market. Also, because of a recesive trait resulting in genetically inherited disorder, they encounter many health problems such as periscoping intestines, skin allergies and food allergies. They are referred to as an inferior quality basset. My little Jesse is so beautiful and sweet, I'm hoping I can find encouraging information soon.
