Here's 3-yr old Jessie Jane III (Another Healthy Blue) posing with her favorite play toy ... yes it's a toilet brush. After catching her tossing one up in the air while coming out of the bathroom and trying to retrieve it, we broke down and bought her one of her own.

And then here's the last picture taken of my Sophia Loren at 13. She passed on to the big fluffy clouds above on April 29th this year. As I sit here typing this, I can not control the tears streaming down my face. She was our first Basset and one of the great ones at that. Many classic memories flood my mind daily, along with her humanized disposition and attitude. I loved her so much - - Jessie has been doing a super job of preoccupying our minds, doing whatever it takes to get our attention. However, some of her tactics are not the most desirable. Like playing hide and seek with one of her rabbit kills, for over 4 days and trying to bring it in the house like it's a trophy...but, I guess it is to her!

Thank you for letting me take a few minutes to open up and release my emotions...this is the first time I've written about my Sophie Girl. You already have a couple of pictures of them from approx. 3 years ago.
